This is your chance to get rid of any unwanted stuff or trash that you&#8217;d normally send to the landfill, and the best part is, it&#8217;s free!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Here&#8217;s what you need to know about the Dumpster Event:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Saturday, October 7th, you can drop off your green waste and general waste items at the Public Works Maintenance yard located at 7960 South 4000 West. We&#8217;ll be there from 7 AM to 3 PM to help you with traffic flow and provide dumping instructions. <strong>This event is operating rain or shine. <\/strong>Just remember to bring some proof that you live in West Jordan or work for the city, like your driver&#8217;s license, utility bill, or city ID badge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What You Can Bring: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Building materials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Household items<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Some appliances (but make sure to take out the Freon first)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Furniture<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Yard waste (like tree branches, shrubs, and grass clippings)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What You Can&#8217;t Bring: <\/strong><br>Unfortunately, we can&#8217;t accept certain items, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sod, dirt, or rocks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Treated wood<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Construction debris<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lithium-ion batteries<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Anything with Freon<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mattresses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Concrete<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tires<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have questions about disposing of hazardous household waste, please contact Trans-Jordan Landfill at <br>801-569-8994.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Don&#8217;t Forget These Important Dates: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Green Waste: Our green waste program runs until the end of November, specifically through the last full week, starting on Monday, November 20th this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>E-Waste Event: We&#8217;ve got another event coming up on November 4th from 10 AM to 12 PM for electronic waste and shredding.
