Mountain View Corridor Trail is closed between 8200 South and 9000 South for an extended period. While the trail is closed, a detour is in place. Temporary signage will direct trail users through the adjacent neighborhood and Ron Wood Park.

The trail closure is due to the construction of a new bridge that will sit 16 feet above Mountain View Corridor, at 8600 South. This steel bridge will stretch 312 feet, connecting 5600 West to 6000 West, without the addition of another stop on Mountain View Corridor.

The new bridge will provide convenient access to amenities in Ron Wood Park, Copper Hills High School, and alleviate some of the east/west vehicle traffic on other arterial roads.

Construction on this project began in February 2023 and is expected to be fully operational in 2024.
