Contact our Events Department:&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:events@westjordan.utah.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">events@westjordan.utah.gov<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"color:#ddd\" class=\"wp-block-genesis-blocks-gb-spacer gb-block-spacer gb-divider-solid gb-divider-size-1\"><hr style=\"height:30px\"\/><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">FAQs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Who can participate?<\/summary>\n<p>The market is open to all residents in West Jordan and any other small business in the state of Utah interested in selling in the market as long as vendors are selling in one of the following categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Arts and Crafts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Produce or Animal products<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Packaged foods<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Musician<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to our relationship with the food truck league for food trucks during the event, we cannot accept \u201cPrepared food\u201d vendors which we define as vendors that sell foods that are meant to be consumed on sight during the market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPackaged Food\u201d is defined as products like jams, salsas, breads, pastries, etc all of which are packaged to be taken home and enjoyed later.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Can youth vendors participate?<\/summary>\n<p>Yes, we love having youth vendors at the market. The fees are $10 registration fee and $10 booth fee per event, (half off of normal fees).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to Utah\u2019s recently passed lemonade laws youth vendors are not required to obtain a business license as part of their vendor application.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Do I need a business license to participate?<\/summary>\n<p>West Jordan has determined the following in regards to business license requirements. We hope this provides additional clarity to potential vendors. Please look at the criteria below and<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We will not require a separate business license in West Jordan if your business has a business license in the city where you are headquartered.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For West Jordan residents\/businesses, if you are a home based business we do not require a business license if you do not have an impact to your surrounding neighborhood.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For other cities in Utah, most cities shouldn\u2019t require a home based business license for businesses that don\u2019t create an impact to their surrounding neighborhood (as per state law).&nbsp; This is between you and your city of residence, and up to you to make that determination.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>For the market we will ask all vendors to either provide a copy of their business license or attest that they are a home based business that does not require a business license. If you still have any doubt please reach out to the events staff who can help you reach the community market volunteers to answer your questions.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Can my nonprofit get a booth at the market?<\/summary>\n<p>No, we do not accept applications for nonprofits at this time.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>I have a new packaged food business idea, can I try selling it at the market if I don\u2019t have a UDAF license?<\/summary>\n<p>Yes, in 2018 Utah passed HB 181, also called the Homemade Food Act which allows vendors to sell packaged food products made from home with a kitchen license as long as they meet certain food prep and packaging criteria.
