Green waste and general waste dumpsters will be available in the Public Works Maintenance yard (7960 South 4000 West) between 7 AM and 3 PM. Residents can dump green waste that will be turned into mulch, as long as they keep it separate from other trash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>May 17, 2025 | 7 AM &#8211; 3 PM, Public Works Facility<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>August 2, 2025 | 7 AM &#8211; 3 PM, Public Works Facility<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>October 25, 2025 | 7 AM &#8211; 3 PM, Public Works Facility<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Staff will be onsite to assist with traffic direction and dumping instructions. Participants must bring proof of residency or city employment. (driver\u2019s license, utility bill, or city ID badge)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most non-hazardous waste or debris is permitted. Acceptable items include:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Building materials&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Household items&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Limited appliances (Freon must be removed prior to disposal)&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Furniture&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Yard waste (tree limbs, shrubbery, grass clippings)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westjordan.utah.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Neighborhood-Clean-Up-Acceptable-Items.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Here\u2019s a helpful guide with more information on what is accepted.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:52px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dumpster Rental<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Reserving a dumpster for regular or green waste disposal is available to residents with an active West Jordan garbage utility account within the city limits. Dumpster reservations are not available for commercial use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reservations for the calendar year can be made starting on the first working day of that year. Each resident is allowed one reservation at a time, with the option to place a second reservation once the first reservation date has passed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dumpsters (8\u2032 wide x 25\u2032 long x 5\u2032 tall) can be reserved year-round. Documents will be shredded on site in the parking lot of West Jordan Public Works Department (7960 S 4000 W, West Jordan UT 84081)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Items need to be drop-off ready. Paper needs to be loose, remove large binder clips, rubber bands, and binders. Bring proof of resident or city employment to participate.
