The month of February is full of notable holidays, from Presidents\u2019 Day to Valentine\u2019s Day, but one of my favorite weeks might not be listed on your calendar. February 14<sup>th<\/sup> through the 20<sup>th<\/sup> is Random Acts of Kindness Week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The week is dedicated to kindness and taking that extra conscious step to brighten someone\u2019s day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Service seems to be on all of our minds recently. You may have seen Utah\u2019s first lady, Abby Cox, announce her new service initiative. Show Up for Service challenges Utahns to do one million acts of service throughout 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These acts can be big or small. Here\u2019s a list of some simple acts you can do to serve others this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Send a note to a friend<\/li><li>Bring a meal to someone who is ill<\/li><li>Become a substitute crossing guard for West Jordan<\/li><li>Join a local neighborhood watch program<\/li><li>Donate blood at the upcoming blood drive on February 14<sup>th<\/sup><\/li><li>Shovel your neighbor\u2019s driveway<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Something I\u2019ve done over the past month is shoveling the crosswalks for the crossing guards on snowy school mornings.
