City Snow Priorities
City street crews are responsible for clearing more than 900 lane miles of streets, extensive bike lanes, parks, and blocks and blocks of sidewalk in West Jordan. Top priority is to make all roads passable for schools, hospitals, and fire stations. After those routes are clear, plows will work on residential streets.
During a storm, crews work around the clock until snow is cleared. Please wait 24 hours after a storm before calling to request plow service. To report an issue, please fill out our service request form or call 801-569-5700.
How Snow Removal is Prioritized
- Priority One: Arterial and major collector streets.
- Priority Two: Subdivision collector streets.
- Priority Three: All other residential through streets, (excluding cul-de-sacs).
- Priority Four: Cul-de-sacs and other dead-end streets.
