If you’ve noticed more cones, detours, and crews around West Jordan lately, you’re not imagining things. The city is in the middle of several major construction projects aimed at improving traffic flow, safety, and long-term infrastructure. From widening busy corridors to laying the groundwork for future growth, here’s a look at what’s happening on the roads—and what it means for you.

7800 South Widening
One of the city’s biggest projects is the widening of 7800 South between Highland Loop Dr. and U-111 (Bacchus Highway). This east-west corridor is a vital connector, and the project aims to reduce congestion and improve access for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians.
