From ASL to Spanish: Expanding Language Services at the Passport Office

Several people sit at a service counter inside a municipal office with a West Jordan sign on the wall. Two staff members assist visitors through glass partitions, while others wait in chairs nearby.

So far this year, we’ve helped over 3,000 people start the passport process!  And we’re gearing up to do even more.

Check this out–Do you speak ASL? We have someone in our passport office for you! Our new employee has already helped ASL speakers in our community and the word is beginning to spread.

We also have four Spanish-speaking employees ready to assist you with your passport registration. Our staff often hears praise and relief from residents when they learn that we have Spanish-speaking team members available to help.

We’re working on hiring other language speakers to continue to help our diverse community have access to passports.

The West Jordan Passport Office isn’t limited to our own residents, we welcome anyone from the state of Utah to come in and speak with our agents to get their passport process going!
