Big news—your green waste can is getting a new name! Starting April 6, Green Waste Collection will now be called Seasonal Trash Collection. While the name is changing, your service is staying the same.

Why is it no longer called a green waste can?
The term “green waste” no longer reflects how the can is used. The landfill no longer processes green waste separately; instead, it is mixed with garbage to generate electricity through methane production. The new name better represents how waste is managed while keeping the service you rely on.

What’s staying the same?
Your seasonal can will still be collected the first full week of April through the last full week of November as usual, giving you extra space for yard debris and household trash.
Your monthly rate is not changing.
