Upwards Brings BOOST Program to West Jordan, Expands Utah Reach
West Jordan child care centers are getting a BOOST.
Upwards, a national childcare network, is partnering with the City of West Jordan to strengthen local licensed childcare providers.
Business owners will have access to finance management, business coaching, support, staffing assistance, licensing information and more through the online Upwards program.
Parents and guardians can use the Upwards website to find child care in their area that matches their needs, schedule interviews and have easy access to payments and daily photos and videos.
West Jordan is the first in Utah to use the BOOST program to directly help childcare businesses.
- Funds for this program do not come from the West Jordan general fund. It is paid by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) which is a federal program in the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
- Enrollment is open and accepting more providers.
- This program offers both Spanish speaking and English speaking tools.

“We’re excited to welcome the BOOST Program to West Jordan,” said Mayor Dirk Burton. “The partnership with Upwards is a real game-changer for our community. By supporting local childcare providers, we’re not just helping them run smoother and grow bigger, but we’re also making sure our kids get top-notch care. It’s all about building a stronger, happier West Jordan where families can thrive, and our economy can flourish. We’re in this together, and I am thrilled to see this initiative take off in our fantastic city.”
