Thanksgiving Garbage Impacts

The Thanksgiving holiday will change some residents’ garbage/recycling pick up day for the week. If your regular trash/recycling day is Thursday or Friday the week of Thanksgiving, pick-up will be delayed ONE day.

For example, if your garbage day would normally fall on Thursday, November 28th, your garbage will be picked up Friday, November 29th. If your garbage day would normally fall on Friday, November 29th, your garbage will be picked up on Saturday, November 30th. 

The following week will be back on the regular schedule.

City Facility Holiday Closures:

All City facilities and offices will be closed November 28th and November 29th. Doors will reopen Monday, December 2nd. For questions on City closures, call: 801-569-5000. For questions about garbage, call West Jordan Public Works: 801-569-5700.
