This morning, a dedicated team of three West Jordan firefighters was deployed from the Maverik Center to join the fight against the raging wildfires in California. Our department is part of a larger, state-wide effort, with several other Utah fire crews also being dispatched to provide much-needed assistance.

The crew, consisting of David Gray, Roy Todd, and Ryan Ottley, will be spending about two weeks on the front lines, working tirelessly to help our neighbors in need. Their bravery and commitment to service exemplify the best of West Jordan, and we are incredibly proud of their willingness to step up in such challenging times.

As they embark on this critical mission, let’s rally around them and show our support. Their selfless actions not only protect lives and property but also reinforce the strong bonds of community that connect us all.

Safe travels, David, Roy, and Ryan—West Jordan is with you!
