Christmas and New Year’s Day WILL impact your garbage day this year
Christmas 2023 and New Year’s Day 2024 both fall on a Monday. That means residents’ usual garbage day will be delayed by one day.
For example – if your garbage day normally falls on Monday, December 25th, 2023, your garbage will be picked up on Tuesday, December 26th, 2023. If your garbage day would normally fall on a Tuesday (December 26th, 2023) it will then be picked up Wednesday (December 27th, 2023) and so on for the rest of the week. For residents whose garbage day falls on a Friday – their garbage will be picked up on Saturday.
The following week will be the same due to the New Year holiday.
If your garbage day normally falls on Monday, January 1st, 2024, your garbage will be picked up on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024, and so on for the rest of the week. Garbage pick-up returns to normal the following week.
