Mayor’s Message – October 2024

As the weather cools and we prepare for the months ahead, now is a good time to come together and roll into this season with a bang—well, more like a skate! I’m thrilled to invite you all to the grand opening of our brand-new Wheels Park on Saturday, October 12th at 11 AM! We will have a wheel-y great time, full of fun and excitement for skaters, bikers, boarders, and anyone looking for some outdoor adventure before winter sets in. I gave a first-hand sneak peek of the West Jordan Wheels Park. Check it out!​

Community is important to West Jordan, and events like this help to bring us together.

As the days get shorter and the evenings darker, let’s gear up for safety, especially with trick-or-treating right around the corner. Please watch out for our little ghouls and goblins as they roam the streets and keep an eye on children walking to school in those early, darker mornings. Our neighborhood streets are 25 mph for a reason. That is the maximum allowed speed. You are welcome to drive slower to make our streets safer for all users.

A community that sticks together, rolls together—so let’s look out for each other and make sure we all have a safe and fun fall season. I am excited to see you at the Wheels Park for our grand opening. Let’s make this event un-wheel-ievably awesome!
