Mayor’s Message – May 2024

Dear Residents,

Tonight marks a significant event as I present the proposed budget for the 2024-25 fiscal year. You may join us in person or online at the council meeting starting at 6 pm tonight, May 8th, to learn about our plans for the upcoming year.

Crafting this budget has been similar to riding a bike—requiring balance, foresight, and adaptability. Just as a cyclist adjusts to the road ahead, we’ve diligently prepared for the economic twists and turns facing our city.

Despite challenges like inflation and unexpected expenses, our focus remains on maintaining essential services and fostering growth. This budget includes strategic investments in public safety, transportation, and community facilities, ensuring West Jordan continues to thrive.

I extend my gratitude to our dedicated staff and the budget committee for their invaluable contributions. Your feedback and collaboration are crucial as we refine our financial roadmap together.
