Mayor’s Message – February 2025

Hello, West Jordan!

February may be the shortest month, but it’s packed with opportunities to make a big difference in our great community. Whether you’re spreading love through volunteer work or celebrating the incredible variety that makes West Jordan so special, there’s something for everyone this month.

I want to start with a heartfelt “thank you” to those who dedicate their time and talents to serving our city. Our volunteers keep West Jordan moving – from organizing events to lending a hand at community cleanups. If you’ve been looking for a way to give back, now is the perfect time to step up and serve! Check out the city website for volunteer opportunities, or contact our community engagement manager directly: ariel.campos@westjordan.utah.gov.

February is also Black History Month, a time to honor the contributions of Black Americans and foster diversity and inclusion in West Jordan. Our Diversity Committee is welcoming new members—if you’re passionate about celebrating our differences and building community, we’d love to have you join!

Let’s make the most of this February by spreading kindness all around! Whether it’s lending a hand, learning something new, or just chatting with a neighbor, every little act helps bring us closer together.

Warm regards,

Mayor Dirk Burton
