Kayleen Whitelock

Councilmember At-large

Kayleen Whitelock is a Councilmember At-Large, representing the entire City of West Jordan. She is a fiscal conservative, who has focused her energy on the budget, ethics, growth, and economic development during her four years in office.

Prior to joining city leadership, Kayleen served on many community councils held a variety of PTA positions and was elected to serve on the Jordan District Board of Education, where she developed a knack for working with the state legislature. Kayleen’s continued standing with members of the legislature have helped shape educational and municipal policy on Capitol Hill for years.

Kayleen attended Salt Lake Community College and the University of Utah, where she studied nursing. During her professional career, she’s held several positions in the medical field, including an impactful role at the University of Utah’s Burn Unit. And as the director of a pharmaceutical research company.

Kayleen has lived in West Jordan with her husband Dan, for 37 years. She’s raised seven children, numerous foster children (3 which were adopted), and welcomed eight fun grandchildren. Kayleen enjoys working and serving in the community.
