The Community Emergency Response Team, or CERT, was developed by FEMA to help people across the nation develop the knowledge and skills necessary to feel prepared for a natural disaster. Whether you want to volunteer to help the city, or you just want to be prepared for your family, CERT is for you. We will cover a variety of preparedness topics including home preparation, team organization, fire safety, search and rescue, and disaster medical operations. Come join us for CERT and get prepared! Our topic will be Neighborhood Rapid Assessment Planning and the SAFE Neighborhood Program. Come learn how to better prepare your neighborhood and communicate assessment and needs to the city Emergency Operations Center.
